I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) working independently within a group practice. I work primarily with adults, couples, and teens. I recently obtained a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision Liberty University, a CACREP accredited program, in 2023. My research interests have focused on mindfulness-based interventions, PTSD, sexual trauma, interpersonal violence, and the use of creative arts for overcoming fear and shame. I am licensed in School Counseling and completed an M.Ed. in School Counseling also from Liberty University in 2017. I have about 30 years of experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds in various roles in the schools, clinical mental health, and youth ministry. I have clinical mental health experience with military soldiers suffering from PTSD, substance abuse, and anger management issues. I want to utilize and strengthen my knowledge, skills, and abilities in Counselor Education and Supervision to teach as a professor within a college or university.
